Decorative Chess Set
A beautiful chess set made of finest white and light blue-green alabaster (similar appearance to marble) from Volterra/Italy with a white table (wood, matt white lacquered), with additional pieces for checkers/draughts, also made of alabaster. Table height 75 cm (standard table height), tabletop 48 x 40 cm, chessboard size 37 x 37 cm, piece height King = 7.5 cm.
The chessboard looks very good and representative despite a break that has been very neatly repaired (see photos). (Playing enjoyment will certainly not be affected.)
Overall, the board is glued to the table – board and table therefore form a single unit.
