Commissioning
PRELIMINARY EXAMINATIONS
1. Check that the mains voltage and frequency match the voltage and frequency indicated on the nameplate.
2. Make sure the pump shaft can rotate freely.
3. Completely fill the pump housing with water by unscrewing the cover of the pre-filter. Make sure there are no leaking gaskets or fittings.
4. Put the pre-filter lid back on and screw it in place properly.
THE PUMP MUST NEVER RUN DRY.
COMMISSIONING
1. Open all shut-off valves in the piping, both in the suction and pressure areas.
2. Turn on the power switch. It may take a few seconds for the water to flow through the entire length of the pipe.
3. Check the direction of rotation of the motor, which should be clockwise from the fan. With three-phase pumps, there is a possibility that the motor will rotate in the opposite direction, so the flow will be lower than expected. In this case, you need to reverse the two phases of the power supply in the terminal board.
4. Check whether the current consumed is equal to or less than the maximum current indicated on the nameplate. If necessary, readjust the thermal relay.
5. If the engine does not work or does not suck in water, try to identify the anomaly using the list of the most common possible failures and their possible solutions on the following pages.
MAINTENANCE
The swimming pool pumps do not require any special maintenance, but it is recommended to clean the pump filter regularly and drain the pump body via the drain plug during periods of low temperatures.
In case of prolonged inactivity, it is advisable to drain the pump, clean it and replace the filter cover with petroleum jelly on the rubber seal, taking care to keep the room where the pump is stored dry and ventilated.
In the event of a malfunction, the user must not tamper with the pump. Contact an authorized service center.
