The nuBox 383 continues the tradition of its many-award-winning predecessors nuBox 381 and nuBox 380 and thus represents the next evolutionary stage of one of our most popular compact speakers. Thanks to its powerful 22-centimeter woofer, which is also used in the floorstanding speakers nuBox 483 and 683, the nuBox 383 reaches an impressive lower cutoff frequency of 52 hertz (at -3 dB). Its high sensitivity of 87 decibels and peak power handling of a full 200 watts enable surprisingly high sound pressure levels for music playback with a live character. At the same time, the nuBox 383 manages to render the sound very loose and airy, seemingly detached from the speaker. The nuBox 383 is just as convincing in a stereo system as in a subwoofer/satellite combination (for example with the subwoofers AW-443 or AW-993) and in a demanding 5.1 home cinema system. The high-frequency range of the nuBox 383 can be adapted to individual listening preferences or different room situations: its character can be switched from “neutral” to “brilliant.” The speakers of the nuBox series are developed in Schwäbisch Gmünd and manufactured according to our specifications by a specialist maker of audio furniture in Europe.

I rented a second apartment in Mallorca at the beginning of October, but I have now decided to go back.
