Easter 2026 Horse Riding in Andalusia | enthusiastic, active travel companions wanted (m or f)

Around Easter 2026 I would like to go horse riding in Andalusia at Rancho La Paz. I was there this May and enjoyed it very much. The landscape is wonderfully green in spring and the ranch is located in the mountains above the tourist hustle and bustle. Here you can ride guided horse treks twice a day. Beginners are taken care of very kindly and competently.

Nearby is Mijas - a picturesque small town where you can eat or have a drink. With a rental car it's 25 minutes to Málaga or 10 minutes to the beach. The area is developed for tourism, the hinterland is a dream for nature lovers, hikers, riders or mountain bikers. Time and again you have an open view over the sea toward Africa.

The atmosphere at the ranch is special. Depending on the season, between 5 and 15 guides live on the ranch and take care of the horses and riders. The facility is charmingly located in the mountains and reachable via a dirt/stone track. There is no mass processing here; instead there is a very personal and calm atmosphere. Everyone gets their own horse. The horses live year-round in a herd.

Riding is done with a western saddle and hackamore. You can feel the team's connection to the horses. It is explicitly not a place where the latest riding clothes matter. If you want a wonderful nature experience, this is the right place. With or without experience, male or female.

The ranch has a pool, delicious food, guest rooms in small typical houses. It is less a hotel and more a true horse ranch.

I plan to stay there for a week and rent a car. Two rides during the day, relax a bit at midday, go to Mijas or Málaga again in the evenings and enjoy the atmosphere.

For that I am looking for enthusiastic, active and relaxed companions, with and without riding experience, for rides and possibly additional tours such as a day trip to the Atlantic (see website), relaxing, pool, beach, good conversations and sightseeing.

If several fellow travelers (between 30 and 45 years old) could be found here, that would be nice. A mixed group of six or eight would be fitting. Preferably someone who also speaks Spanish. Preferably with a background in nature and culture, art and personal development, hunting, riding, sailing or yoga.
